An internal longing, a passage that evokes our inner search.

There is an explorer inside every one of us who emerges at different times of life.

Evoking a feeling of internal longing, this photo series is based on an evolutionary poetic journey of our inner clown* who curiously seeks life beyond boundaries and believes that “one can find oneself better in a contrary setting/surrounding.”

Sometimes, when we travel away from “self” and entangle in the outer affairs, we tend to forget or lose our inner essence, and this state emerges a desire within us to find our  “self” back. Over the time this longing becomes a passage that evokes our inner search, in whatever culture or environment we grow, we start discovering and understanding our inner longing, and slowly learn to evolve our being.

Self-evolution is an experiential process; struggling over unfathomable feeling, surpassing the illusory suspicions of mind, we move through other sides of life, connect to the whole and transform into a new state of being.

We meet people having diverse perspectives, culture and beliefs. We accept, reject and reflect on what we come across. We constantly measure ourselves and examine our learned perspective to bridge them with our innate qualities.

A deep melancholic longing of something absent, sporadically triggers our desire to meet a forgotten ‘being’ within. In the search of our latent essence, many times we form, deform and transform.
& through these cyclic processes, the evolution continues…

* Tribalistic clown in the series is a symbolic (Metaphoric) creation of our inner being exploring “self” in a contrary external setting.

THE TIMELESSNESS IN THE FOREST
(Uttarakhand, Sept2019)

Yes, there is a timelessness in this forest. The countless lives living under the soil covered with the dark mulch. I see many of them around the wild bushes, creepers, herbs and trees. The fluttering wings of the birds, can you hear? the melodies of the birds… ?

While I cross the water streams, they show me many ancient landscapes.
I breathe, the way forest breathe.

And when the clouds envelope us all in the mountains, we disappear.

I have seen the night in the noon, yes!
There is a timelessness in this forest.

The greens & the browns – The wild & free – The surfaces & layers – The textures & patterns of life.

Here, you see more and say less.
Here, you listen the songs of the silence.
Here, you come over and over again.
It is a journey to return.
